About the Site
The new adamsamson.com was designed with three core principles in mind: simplicity, cross-compatibility, and accessibility for the disabled. To that end, I chose to leverage Joomla 1.5 for the backend content management system (CMS) and JA_Purity for the frontend template.
The template is simple, elegant and utilizes code that is both compatible with most popular Web browsers and accessible to individuals who need to use screen-readers. I chose to use Joomla because it is open source and very versatile. Adding to versatility of the CMS are the myriad of third-party applications that can be downloaded and easily installed. Moreover, many of the third party components are available for free, or minimal cost.
Web hosting is provided by my firm, Tarantula Web Solutions.
